The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club is one of the premier clubs in the country offering polo from grass roots to high goal level culminating in The Prince of Wales Trophy (17-22 goals)

The Berkshire offers 4 types of Subscription to those who wish to play during the summer. In previous seasons, if a player wished to join the Berkshire, they were required to become a Full Playing Member (Professional Players excluded) from the very outset. This concept is still in place, however, it has been added to as the club is now offers three further levels of involvement to potential members.

The 4 levels are:

• Chukka Player Subscription
• Low Goal Player Subscription
• Intermediate Player Subscription
• Full Playing Member Subscription

The levels allow players a wide choice of polo. Each level has an added value over the other.

1) Chukka Player Subscription is ideal for those who play on an irregular basis throughout the season or for those players who are at the early stage of polo and are still ‘finding their feet’. Players are entitled to enter HPA Tournaments and play in Champagne Challenge Matches but not Club Tournaments. Chukka fees are charged at this level.

2) Low Goal Player Subscription is suitable for players who wish to have the availability to play more competitive polo. Players at this level are able to enter Club Tournaments for an individual entry fee. Chukka fees for the season are included in the Subscription Fee.

3) Intermediate Player Subscription not only enjoys all the benefits of the Chukka/Low Goal Player, but also allows players to join in chukkas with Full Playing Members.

4) Full Playing Member Subscription enjoys all the benefits of Chukka, Low Goal and Intermediate Players.Members do not pay entry fees for Club Tournaments.Full Playing Members receive the Club’s Member Badges and Car Stickers as opposed to Players Badges.They may also use the monthly account system for their Clubhouse drinks.They have priority of use on ground 1,2 & 3.Please note that after one season of playing polo at the Berkshire, players are asked to become a Member for a once only payment.They may continue to play at any subscription level they wish.

Those players who pay the Membership Fee will automatically be able to play year on year subject to their Annual Subscription being paid. All non-members are subject to there being room for them to join season to season.

All of our Members and Players are entitled to:

• Annual Members and Players Badges, Car Stickers and Programme of Events
  (Social and Polo)
• Attend all social events with guests
  (Normally two, however with clearance from the office, this number may be increased)
• Use of the clubhouse, tennis courts and croquet lawn
• Watch all polo at the Berkshire and bring guests
• Members rates for all hospitality, venue fee, hospitality and at the clubhouse bar

Subscription Fees

• Full Playing Member £4,000 plus VAT
• Overseas Professional Player £4,000 plus VAT
• English Professional Player £3,000 plus VAT
• Student or 18 years and under at 1/4/06 £1,450 plus VAT
• Under 18 Son/daughter of a Full Playing Member £575 plus VAT
• Intermediate Player £3,450 plus VAT
• Low Goal Player £2,875 plus VAT
• Chukka Player £1,825 plus VAT
  (excl Chukka Fees @ £11 + VAT per chukka)
• Trainer/Employee (if not on a regular team with
  second priority to play) £1,150 plus VAT

All above fees are to be paid by 1st March, 30 days of invoice date, or prior to playing whichever is the sooner otherwise they are subject to a 10% increase.

HPA Subscripiton

• UK Resident £100 inc VAT
• Non Resident £180 inc VAT

Medical Fee - Members and Players £350

Sand Castle Contribution - £375

Social Member - Annual Subscription £250 plus VAT

Livery
Livery per week On application
Shared tack room and feed room

Excludes vet, blacksmith, stable shavings and their removal, water & electricity
Includes groom.

Rental

• Stable £980 Seasonal
• Tack room £980 Seasonal
• Feed room £980 Seasonal
• Grooms accommodation £3,360 Seasonal

The above facilities have to be taken for a 28 week period 20th March to 1st October and are to be prepaid.
(Excludes electricity, gas and water)

Miscellaneous

• Shavings and general rubbish removal £1.00+VAT per day/pony
• All Weather Track and Arena £0.50+ VAT per day/pony
• Sand Castle 2007 £375 + VAT
